रिक्तियों की शर्तें
- खाली Level 4/5 पद उसी खेल में Level 2/3 किए जा सकते हैं। किसी विशिष्ट खेल स्थिति के खाली पद को उसी खेल की दूसरी स्थिति से नहीं भरा जाएगा।
- वेतन स्तर और तैनाती उपलब्ध पद, शिक्षा, खेल उपलब्धि और भर्ती उत्तीर्णांक से तय होंगे। अधिक खेल पात्रता वाला निचले स्तर में आवेदन कर सकता है, पर नियुक्ति पूर्व उपलब्धि से बाद में उच्च वेतन न माँगने का वचन देना होगा।

खेल पात्रता
- अभ्यर्थी सक्रिय खिलाड़ी और अधिसूचित अवधि की मान्य उपलब्धियों वाले हों। उच्च स्तर के खेल मानक निचले अधिसूचित स्तर में भी मान्य हैं, निचले स्तर के वचनपत्र के अधीन।
- Level 4/5: Category B में न्यूनतम तीसरा स्थान—World Cup(Junior/Youth/Senior), World Championships(Junior/Senior), Asian Games(Senior), Commonwealth Games(Senior), Youth Olympics अथवा Champions Trophy(Hockey)।
- Level 2/3: Category B में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व अथवा Category C में तीसरा स्थान अथवा Senior/Youth/Junior Nationals में तीसरा अथवा IOA National Games में तीसरा अथवा AIU All India Inter University में तीसरा अथवा Senior Federation Cup में प्रथम स्थान।
- Category C: Commonwealth Championships(Junior/Senior), Asian Championships/Asia Cup(Junior/Senior), SAFGames(Senior), USICWorld Railway Championships(Senior) अथवा World University Games।
- Level 1: Category C में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व अथवा Senior Federation Cup में तीसरा अथवा राज्य/समकक्ष इकाई के प्रतिनिधि के रूप में Senior Nationals में न्यूनतम आठवाँ स्थान(मैराथन/क्रॉसकंट्री छोड़कर) अथवा Youth/Junior Nationals में तीसरा अथवा IOANational Games में तीसरा अथवा AIUAll India Inter University में तीसरा।

खेलवार विशेष शर्तें
- Athletics: National Inter State Senior पदक Level 2 में भी मान्य। Senior Open National, Senior Inter State या Senior Asian Championship का स्वर्ण Level 4/5 में भी मान्य।
- BCCI क्रिकेट: Level 4/5—India A या India U 19 में 2 Test/2 ODI/2 T 20; Level 2/3—Senior/U 23/U 19 All India Inter State(Plate Group छोड़कर) क्वार्टरफाइनल अथवा संबंधित Inter Zonal अथवा Challenger Trophy में भागीदारी; Level 1—Senior/U 23/U 19 All India Inter State(Plate Group छोड़कर) प्रीक्वार्टरफाइनल।
- Hockey पुरुष: Level 2/3 में न्यूनतम 4 देश की सीनियर/जूनियर अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता भागीदारी अथवा Senior National सेमीफाइनल भी मान्य। Volleyball:25-06-2020 के बाद Federation/संबद्ध इकाई के प्रमाण स्वीकार नहीं; AIU और अंतरराष्ट्रीय संघ के प्रमाण विचारणीय हैं।

चयन प्रक्रिया
- सभी पात्र अभ्यर्थियों को खेल प्रदर्शन/उपयुक्तता ट्रायल में बुलाया जाएगा। केवल FIT अभ्यर्थियों की मान्य उपलब्धि और शिक्षा का आगे मूल्यांकन होगा।
- नियुक्ति मेरिट, रिक्ति और Southern Railway टीम में उपयुक्तता से होगी; अनुशंसित अभ्यर्थी आवंटित पद का चिकित्सा मानक पूरा करें।

अर्हक और मेरिट नियम
- ट्रायल में FIT:25/40 । 25 से कम पर NOTFIT और आगे मूल्यांकन नहीं। कुल न्यूनतम:Level 4/5—70;Level 2/3—65;Level 1—60 ।
- कुल अंक समान हों तो कम आयु को वरीयता। ट्रायल तिथि, स्थल और समय RRC Chennai जारी करेगा; कम समय की सूचना पर भी यात्रा/रहने सहित अपने खर्च पर आएँ। तिथि/स्थल बदलना अनुमत नहीं।
नियुक्ति के बाद टाइपिंग शर्त
- Clerk-cum-Typist नियुक्त अभ्यर्थी 4 वर्ष में अंग्रेजी 30 wpm अथवा हिंदी 25 wpm टाइपिंग प्राप्त करें; तब तक नियुक्ति अनंतिम रहेगी।

Vacancy Conditions
- Unfilled Level 4/5 vacancies may be downgraded to Level 2/3 in the same discipline. An unfilled specific playing position cannot be substituted by a different position in that game.
- Pay level and posting depend on available posts, education, sports achievements and qualifying recruitment marks. A higher sports-norm holder may apply at a lower advertised level but must undertake not to claim higher pay later using pre-appointment achievements.

Sports Eligibility
- Candidates must be active players with recognised achievements in the notified period. Higher-level sports norms also qualify for lower advertised levels, subject to the lower-level undertaking.
- Level 4/5: at least third place in Category B events—World Cup(Junior/Youth/Senior), World Championships(Junior/Senior), Asian Games(Senior), Commonwealth Games(Senior), Youth Olympics or Champions Trophy(Hockey).
- Level 2/3: represented India in Category B OR at least third in Category C OR at least third in Senior/Youth/Junior Nationals OR at least third in IOA National Games OR at least third in AIU All India Inter University OR first in Senior Federation Cup.
- Category C: Commonwealth Championships(Junior/Senior), Asian Championships/Asia Cup(Junior/Senior), SAFGames(Senior), USICWorld Railway Championships(Senior) or World University Games.
- Level 1: represented India in Category C OR at least third in Senior Federation Cup OR represented State/equivalent unit with at least eighth place in Senior Nationals(excluding marathon/cross-country) OR at least third in Youth/Junior Nationals OR at least third in IOANational Games OR at least third in AIUAll India Inter University.
- Achievements must be from recognised international/national federations and recognised by RSPB. National-championship certificates from federations not recognised by Mo YAS at the championship date are not accepted, subject to applicable Railway Board directions.
Sport-specific Conditions
- Athletics: National Inter State Senior medals also qualify for Level 2. Senior Open National, Senior Inter State or Senior Asian Championship gold also qualifies for Level 4/5.
- BCCI cricket: Level 4/5—India A or India U 19 representation in 2 Tests/2 ODIs/2 T 20 s; Level 2/3—quarterfinal in Senior/U 23/U 19 All India Inter State(except Plate Group), OR participation in corresponding Inter Zonal, OR Challenger Trophy; Level 1—prequarterfinal in Senior/U 23/U 19 All India Inter State(except Plate Group).
- Hockey men: Level 2/3 also accepts participation in a senior/junior international tournament of at least 4 nations OR Senior National semifinal. Volleyball:Federation/affiliated-unit certificates issued after 25-06-2020 are not accepted; AIU and international-federation certificates are considered.
- Recognised junior age groups: Athletics U 20, Basketball U 18, Boxing U 17, Footballmen U 19(BC Roy Trophy), Hockeymen U 21, Cue Sportsmen U 21(Billiards/Snooker and 8/9 Ball Pool), Weightlifting U 20.

Selection Process
- All eligible candidates are called for sports trials to assess performance and suitability. Only those declared FIT proceed to assessment of recognised achievements and education.
- Appointment follows merit, available vacancies and suitability for the Southern Railway team; recommended candidates must meet the medical standard of the allotted post.

Qualifying and Merit Rules
- Trial FIT threshold:25/40. Below 25 is NOTFIT and no further assessment. Overall minimum:Level 4/5—70;Level 2/3—65;Level 1—60.
- If total marks tie, the younger candidate gets preference. Trial date, venue and time are published by RRC Chennai; appear at own expense, including travel/stay, even at short notice. No change of trial date/venue is allowed.
Typing Requirement after Appointment
- Clerk-cum-Typist appointees must acquire 30 wpm English OR 25 wpm Hindi typing within 4 years of appointment; appointment remains provisional until then.

How to Apply
- Choose Registration against RRC-02/Sports/2026-27 on RRC Chennai’s Open Market Recruitment page. Keep one valid personal email/mobile active throughout selection.
- Select the exact discipline, event/position and pay level, enter correct details, upload all self-attested documents and pay the relevant fee. Save final application and e-receipt. Do not submit varying duplicate applications for the same post/discipline.
- Submit all evidence with the online application; documents/photos sent separately later are not entertained.
