Selection Process
- Online Examination.
- Candidates qualifying in the Online Examination will be called for Personal Interview; the Bank may use preliminary screening/shortlisting with reference to qualification, experience and profile vis-à-vis job requirements.
- Interview carries a maximum of 100 marks and assesses Role-related Industry Exposure, Subject Knowledge and Communication Skills.
- Interview minimum qualifying marks: Unreserved 50%; Reserved 45%.
- Final merit: Online Examination 80% + Interview 20%.

Examination Rules
- The online examination is objective type with 100 questions, total duration 2 hours, with separate timing for sections.
- Minimum qualifying marks are 30% for reserved candidates and 35% for unreserved candidates.
- A wrong answer attracts deduction of 1/4 of the mark allotted to that question; there is no penalty for an unattended question.
- For the all-other-posts pattern, no separate minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for General Awareness and English Language; candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying marks in Professional Knowledge.

How to Apply
- Candidates had to open IOB website → Careers → “Recruitment of Generalist / Specialist Officers in Various Scales – 2026-27” and select the applicable post.
- After online registration, the generated Registration Number/Password had to be used to complete the application.
- Photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration had to be uploaded and the applicable fee paid online.
- The submitted online application and e-receipt had to be retained for future reference.

- 02.09.2026 Corrigendum: the work-experience clause for Post Code 14 Assistant Manager (Security) was revised and the presently-serving/discharge-by-30.09.2026 clause was removed. Post Code 04 was renamed Manager (Information Systems Audit) and Post Code 07 Senior Manager (Information Systems Audit).
- 09.10.2026 Notice: the online examination was tentatively scheduled for 31.10.2026 and the Bank stated that admit cards would be made available shortly.
