कौन आवेदन कर सकता है
- निर्धारित पात्रता वाले सेवानिवृत्त केंद्रीय सरकारी विधिक सलाहकार और निर्धारित केंद्रीय सरकारी विधिक कार्य अनुभव वाले अन्य उम्मीदवार; दोनों विकल्प उपलब्ध हैं।

| अनुभव की कटऑफ आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि है। अच्छा मौखिक/लिखित संचार, प्रस्तुतीकरण, पहल, विश्लेषण और टीमवर्क आवश्यक हैं। अभ्यर्थी शारीरिक व मानसिक रूप से स्वस्थ, निष्कलंक सत्यनिष्ठा वाला हो और लंबित जाँच में आरोपित अधिकारी न हो। |
आयु सीमा
- विधि परामर्शदाता; अन्य अभ्यर्थी: अधिकतम 50 वर्ष।
निर्दिष्ट पात्रता के तहत आवेदन करने वाले सेवानिवृत्त केंद्रीय सरकारी विधि सलाहकार: अधिकतम 62 वर्ष। दोनों आयु सीमाएँ 26-10-2026 को लागू होंगी।

चयन प्रक्रिया
- छँटनी — योग्यता और अनुभव से आवेदनों की छँटनी होगी।

नियुक्ति की शर्तें
- प्रारंभिक एक वर्ष; प्रदर्शन/मंत्रालय की आवश्यकता पर विस्तार या अवधि में कमी; अधिकतम तीन वर्ष।
- DA, HRA, परिवहन सुविधा/भत्ता, आवासीय फोन, CGHS या चिकित्सा प्रतिपूर्ति नहीं। प्रति कैलेंडर वर्ष 18 दिन अवकाश, कार्यग्रहण से अनुपात में; संचय या नकदीकरण नहीं।
- कोई भी पक्ष एक माह की सूचना/वेतन पर अनुबंध समाप्त कर सकता है। आधिकारिक यात्रा TA/DA: सेवानिवृत्तों के लिए सेवानिवृत्ति के समय की पात्रता, अन्य के लिए DS/Director नियम। मुख्यालय New Delhi।

Who Can Apply
- Eligible retired Central Government legal advisers and other candidates with the specified Central Government legal-work experience; both routes are included.
Essential Qualification and Experience

| An LL.B. or equivalent degree from a recognised university/institute in India or abroad, recognised by the Bar Council of India, is required. The candidate must be eligible for advocate registration under the Advocates Act, 1961. |
| Other candidates need at least five years of post-qualification experience handling court cases and legal consultancy in Central Government ministries/departments. Retired government applicants must have served as Assistant Legal Adviser, Deputy Legal Adviser or in an equivalent Central Government legal advisory position. |
| The experience cutoff is the closing date. Strong spoken/written communication and presentation, initiative, analytical judgement and teamwork are required. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, possess impeccable integrity and not be an accused officer in a pending inquiry. |
Age Limit
- Legal Consultant; Other candidates: maximum 50 years.
Eligible retired Central Government legal advisers: maximum 62 years. Both age limits apply as on 26-10-2026.

Selection Process

- Committee selection — The Ministry's Screening-cum-Selection Committee selects from shortlisted candidates; its decision is final.

Engagement Conditions
- Initially one year, extendable or curtailed according to performance/Ministry needs, with maximum engagement of three years.
- No DA, HRA, transport facility/allowance, residential telephone, CGHS or medical reimbursement. Leave: 18 days a calendar year, pro rata from joining, without carry-forward or encashment.
- Either side may terminate with one month’s notice/pay. Official travel TA/DA: retirement entitlement for retirees; DS/Director rules for others. Headquarters: New Delhi.
