- Registration & Processing Fee is ₹500 for Young Professional YP-1, YP-2 and YP-3 categories.
Selection Process
- Applications received by the closing date will be scrutinised for eligibility.
- If applications for an engagement exceed five times the requirement, a computer-based/aptitude/general-management/psychometric test or another standard test/exam may be used for shortlisting; candidates will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:3 ratio based on performance.
- If applications are fewer than five times the requirement, all eligible candidates may be called for personal interview.
- If more than one candidate obtains the shortlisting cut-off marks, all such tied candidates will be called for interview.

How to Apply
- Apply online through SAIL Careers / the CMO Young Professionals application portal; no other mode is accepted.
- A new user must first complete one-time registration, then log in with User ID/Password and choose the engagement.
- Enter the required information, upload the photo/signature and certificates/documents, review/confirm the details and pay the ₹500 fee online.
- After final submission, download/print and retain the system-generated Registration Slip/Application ID.
Official Updates and Corrigenda
- 15-10-2026: CMO/YP/2026-01/Corrigendum extended the application deadline from 15-10-2026 to 31-10-2026 and changed the age/qualification/experience eligibility cut-off accordingly to 31-10-2026; all other terms remain unchanged.
